The ASSEMBLY '03 Outdoor concert was held on Friday 8th of August 2003. Stereo Gentleman, Purple Motion, CNCD Outside and Axes Denied put on a great show for several hundred listeners at the concert venue and several thousand viewers on AssemblyTV.
ASSEMBLY Organizing turned an outdoor concrete built garage area into a large concert venue. With the help of professional sound engineers and an experienced sound mixer the challenging acoustics of the area were turned upside down to produce a terrific sound.
The concert also featured a surprise act. Auski, the basist from the Finnish band Copter, had gotten married in secret and so his friends (including Abyss) decided to throw him an "afterburner" (a bachelor party organized after the wedding). With no warning to prepare for the show, Auski was thrust onto the stage. Although the challenge was formidable, Auski took the audience by storm and performed a five minute bass solo augmented by some hilarious basist jokes.
Needless to say, the Outdoor concert was a great hit among the party crowd and a great success overall. ASSEMBLY Organizing will continue to rock the house with another concert in 2004.

Stereo Gentleman & High Heels PREMIERE The rule-breaker, Peter Petchalov aka. Stereo Gentleman came from London to perform in a new production with Finland's most talented dance-group: High Heels. Axes Denied is a project spawned in 2003 by Skyfix, a mainstream pop/rock group based in Oulu, Finland. In a band packed with computer scientist wannabes and veteran sceners the emergence of something like AD was really just a matter of time. Our repertoire of scene and game music evergreens etc., tastefully selected and arranged for a conventional rock four-piece, includes such timeless classics as International Karate by Rob Hubbard and Space Debris by Captain.
